Search Engine Submissions
One thing I would like to bring to your attention is all those companies that say they will submit your site to over 70,000 search engines for x amount are actually harming your site.
Never use a site or seo company that say they will do it as its classed as spamming and will seriously harm your website and get get it penalised. I personally have never used them as I have found it easier to manually submit your site to the top search engines once you are fully happy with the content on your site.
But to be honest you dont even have to submit your site to the search engines to get it indexed, al you have to do is post the link on a couple of clean legit sites idealy ones you have already and the next time google crawls the 2nd site it will find the link to yours and crawls yours ect.

What Is SEO
Tough question, “What is SEO?”. As with pretty much all internet-related terms, concepts and notions, that of “SEO” does not have a unique definition and it is a blurry concept in most people’s mind.
Still, what is SEO? Since there is no ultimate, fully comprehensible definition for “SEO”, the only way to go is to take a look at several definitions and try to merge them in order to have the right perspective.Wikipedia : “Search engine optimization (SEO) is a set of methodologies aimed at improving the visibility of a website in search engine listings. The term also refers to an industry of consultants that carry out optimization projects on behalf of client sites.”
Fakezilla : “The changes that are made to the content and code of a web site in order to increase its rankings in the results pages of search engines and directories. These changes may involve rewriting body copy, altering Title or Meta tags, removal of Frames or Flash content, and the seeking of incoming links.”
The Web Search Workshop : “The term used to describe the marketing technique of preparing a website to enhance its chances of being ranked in the top results of a search engine once a relevant search is undertaken. A number of factors are important when optimizing a website, including the content and structure of the website’s copy and page layout, the HTML meta-tags and the submission process.”
6am Media : “The process of improving web pages so that it ranks higher in search engine for targeted keywords with the ultimate goal of generating more revenue from the web site. There are many SEO techniques. In general, these techniques can be categorized as On-Page Optimization, On-Site Optimization, and Off-Site Optimization. There are also two schools of SEO: white hat SEO and black hat SEO. White hat SEOs are those that play by the rule (actually guidelines provided by search engines). Black hat SEOs are those that push the limit of SEOs and employ some questionable or prohibited techniques (according to the guidelines). These black hat SEO techniques are also commonly known as spam.”
Website NOVA : “acronym for search engine optimization. This is the process of making a website ’search-engine-friendly. Search engine optimization is primarily used to increase rankings in SERPs, and effective SEO can increase the potential of your website and bring in more traffic.”
Thousands more definitions are available, almost as many “SEO guru’s” you will find online (”The Guru Problem” is actually the title of another article to be published soon).
As you can see, no definition is like another, but they all tend to converge to a certain common understanding.
There are numerous techniques and tools used to achieve SEO goals, and they should NOT be included within a definition.
Since it is not correct to define a concept through its tools, here is a definition I have come up with after long deliberations. The suggestion is to define SEO as follows:
SEO = abbreviation for “Search Engine Optimization”, the process of optimizing and tuning a web site and gaining online awareness for it, in order to deliver targeted visitors and ensure high conversion rates.
When done correctly, SEO activities must:
- make search engines crawl the site;
- make search engines index the site;
- ensure a high ranking among SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages) for given keywords;
- achieve a high page rank;
- drive targeted traffic;
- achieve high conversion rates among the site’s visitors.

A few website tips you might know already
You can get high rankings keywords and increase web traffic to your site by doing the following steps. By not following the steps below you will fail to rank as high as you could in the search engines. Please contact us if you need to know “the why” to the below statements:
-
research what keywords people use most often on search engines that pertain to your products or services;Â use these keywords as text in the design to increase website traffic.
-
“Keep It Simple” - 99% of all web designers use too many graphical images and programs like Java, Flash, etc. which results in lower rankings and less traffic..
-
Web pages, like a spread sheet, are made using cells and tables. Use as few cells and tables in your web design as possible.
-
Create good Meta Tags. Each page should have different keywords in the Title and the Description Meta Tag.
-
Limit the number of times that you repeat words in your Keyword Meta Tag.
-
Place your important keywords at the top of the page as text headers.
-
Your most important page and keywords should be on the first page of a website.
-
Frames based websites should only be used for Intranet (a site only for company employees) and not for Internet.
-
Do NOT include pages that re-direct (a page that automatically sends you to another page) people to other pages.
-
Run an analysis program to count the number of times keywords are used in the first 7500 characters of computer code.
-
Limit your use of services that automatically submits your URL to the top 10 search engines.
-
When finished with a page, run a spell checking program and then compress the html code.
-
Keep track of your search engine rankings and website traffic.
-
Once a website is indexed, a good web designer should go back and improve pages that didn’t get high rankings on key words.
-
Every 3 months you should make a small change on each web page. Search engines like to see that changes are being made to a site and that it just isn’t sitting there for years with no upgrades

Search Engine Submission Tips
One thing that google likes is hand submitted urls to be crawled, software that submits your website automatically is harming your webite. Try to stay away from websites that will submit your websites to 100’s of search engines as they are giving your website a bad name by using software to submit your links.
The truth of the matter is you dont even need to submit your website to hundreds of search engines as we all know that google, yahoo and msn are responsible for 99.99% of internet searches and web traffic, and submitting to anyother search engine is a complete waste of time.
When submitting urls to google dont submit more than one url per website, you can resubmit the same url with a period of afew weeks even months between each submit.
I suggest submitting you mainr link once every 3 months to get maximum crawl ate, but if google is visiting your site on a daily basis then there is no need to resubmit.
If you still want to use a submission service then use one that manually submits your website but like i said you only need to be indexed in the main search engines.
I can recommend a site that manualy submits your link if your looking for one but try not to use these companies. The reason why i know adsitecentral.com is an ok website to use as I am very close with the owner and know how he submits the links. Submit your website
